Application Fee (non-refundable). RMB 1,600.00
     The application fee is non-refundable, non-transferable and is only valid for the school year applied for. The fee is payable when the student’s application is submitted to the school for consideration. This fee is not applicable to other school fees.

Deposit/Cancellation Fee (non-refundable): RMB 9,000.00
     For each term, a non-refundable deposit/cancellation fee of RMB 9,000.00 is applied. 
     The non-refundable deposit/cancellation fee of RMB 9,000.00 is due before April 30 for returning students and within fifteen days upon receiving the offer of enrollment for new applicant students. The non-refundable deposit/cancellation fee will be applied towards the tuition fee. 
     Should a student withdraw from the School, the School will retain the RMB 9,000.00 from the paid tuition for that term or the year. Other cancellation penalties may also apply and are subject to the School Refund Policy.

    All new students who enroll after June 30 for fall term, and November 30 for spring term, must pay the tuition fee within fifteen days following receipt of the School’s Invoice. 
    All new students who enroll after more than fifteen school days of a term have elapsed, will be charged a pro-rated tuition fee determined from the date the student is enrolled until the last day of the term at the rate of 1/90th of the full term’s fees per school day.

Annual Tuition Early Option: When annual tuition fees are paid in full for the whole school year by May 31, 2010, the Annual Tuition Early Option is applied. Since the date of payment is determined by the School’s bank’s acknowledgement, it is advisable to allow additional days for the wire transfer to avoid missing the deadline.

Sibling Tuition Discount A 10% reduction on the tuition fee is applied to the younger child/children of the family enrolling two or more siblings.

Payment of Fees
     Payment of annual fees, term fees, or a non-refundable deposit will hold a place in appropriate class for the coming school year, up until June 30 tuition payment deadline. After June 30, the seat will not be secured until the full term fee is received. All fees are quoted in RMB currency. Conversion from USD to RMB is at the rate of 6.800. The School reserves the right to change the exchange rate during the school year once any big change on the foreign exchange market occurs.

Method of Fee Payment
     Payment can be made either in USD or RMB by bank transfer and any bank charge will be the responsibility of the payer.
     Cash payment can only be made in RMB currency directly to the school office on school working days from 8:00 to 15:00.
     Once a payment has been made through wire transfer, fax RBIS a copy of the proof of remittance to (8621) 6269-1294. Please write the student’s name and grade at the top of the fax. Refund Policy:

• 1 ) A refund request will not be processed unless a written notification of withdrawal has been received by the School’s admissions office.
• 2 )Withdrawal Effective Date:
  • If a student does not attend any days of school, the Withdrawal Effective Date will be regarded as the date of receiving the notification of withdrawal.
  • If a student attends the School and a notification of withdrawal is received after the student’s last day at the School, the Withdrawal Effective Date will be regarded as the date of receiving the notification of withdrawal.
  • If a student attends the School and a notification of withdrawal is received before the student’s last day at the School, the Withdrawal Effective Date must be written in the notification of withdrawal and serves as the student’s last day of attendance at the School.
• 3 )If a student withdraws from the School and the Withdrawal Effective Date is before July 1, fees paid for the fall term or the year, less the application fee, and the non-refundable deposit/cancellation fee will be refunded.
• 4 )If a student withdraws from the School and the Withdrawal Effective Date is after June 30, but before the first day of the fall term, fees paid for the fall term or the year, less application fee, the non-refundable deposit/cancellation fee, and a penalty equivalent to 20% of the total fall term tuition fee will be refunded.
• 5 )If a student withdraws from the School for fall term and the Withdrawal Effective Date is after the first day of the fall term, fees paid for the fall term or the year, less application fee, the non-refundable deposit/cancellation fee, a pro-rated fee based on the number of days school has been in session from the first day of fall term until the Withdrawal Effective Date at the rate of 1/90th of the tuition fee for the full term, and a penalty equivalent to 40% of the total fall term tuition fee will be refunded.
• 6 )If a student withdraws from the School for spring term and the Withdrawal Effective Date is before December 1, fees paid for the spring term, less the application fee, and the non-refundable deposit/cancellation fee will be refunded.
• 7 )If a student withdraws from the School for spring term and the Withdrawal Effective Date is after November 30, but before the first day of the spring term, fees paid for the spring term, less application fee, the non-refundable deposit/cancellation fee, and a penalty equivalent to 20% of the total spring term tuition fee will be refunded.
• 8 )If a student withdraws from the School for spring term and the Withdrawal Effective Date is after the first day of the spring term, fees paid for the spring term, less application fee, the non-refundable deposit/cancellation fee, a pro-rated fee based on the number of days school has been in session from the first day of spring term until the Withdrawal Effective Date at the rate of 1/90th of the tuition fee for the full term, and a penalty equivalent to 40% of the total spring term tuition fee will be refunded.
• 9 )Refunds will not be offered to students who are dismissed from the School for academic or behavioral misconduct, or to students who have not disclosed learning issues which RBIS cannot address.
• 10 )School bus fee paid for a term will be refunded on a pro-rated basis for each day of a term that the student is not registered at RBIS less RMB 340 handling charge. The pro-rated amount per school day will be 1/90th of the bus fee for the full term.
• 11 )School fees are not transferable.
• 12 )The School reserves the right to deduct any outstanding obligation such as charges for lost or damaged textbooks, library books, etc. from a refund.
• 13 )Refunds are processed after the student’s last day of attendance, once the return of school materials has been verified.
• 14 )Refunds will be transferred to the Party making the fee payment within fifteen working days.

Non-Payment of School Fees:
    The School reserves the right to refuse admission or continued enrollment when the full amount of school fees are not paid as scheduled and/or scheduled installment payments are not paid as per agreement. If by the due date the School does not receive payment or written notification that payment is in transit, and/or has not received the required faxed copy of a wire remittance identifying the name of the student, the School will need to assume that the student does not plan to return and may make the seat available to new applicants.
    In cases of non-payment, the School may suspend the student and/or withhold all school records of the student until fees are paid in full.
