TEDx is a grassroots initiative, created in the spirit of TED’s overall mission to research and discover “ideas worth spreading.” The talks bring the spirit of TED to local communities around the globe through TEDx events. These events are organized by passionate individuals who seek to uncover new ideas and to share the latest research in their local areas that spark conversations in their communities. The event included live speakers from our Primary School who gave sensational speeches on stage.

The theme of this year’s edition was “Innovation for Impact”. Innovation is a powerful tool for change. The speeches our students delivered were about using creativity and technology to solve global challenges while finding new ways to approach problems, and developing solutions that are sustainable, scalable, and have a positive impact on society.

Right after the TEDx talks, parents and students gathered in our theater for the last PYP exhibition of the year. The G5 IB-PYP exhibition is a unique, immersive learning experience. It’s the final celebration of the children’s knowledge and skills throughout their PYP experience. The PYP Exhibition involves students working collaboratively to conduct an in-depth inquiry into a real-life issue or problem that’s pertinent to them. The inquiry process involves first-hand experiences, interviews, research, surveys, field visits, and more.
